Google is testing a feature known “Popular on Twitter” which displays in the form of a panel. The purpose here seems to be highlighting tweets that are not just trending but highly relatable too when users ask queries.

The panel will display whenever a specific search is based on user location and their relevant queries across the platform. This just give a lot more insight for users in the form of trending posts.

This isn’t the first time we’ve watched tweets get included in search results for all types of celebs and various brands. But it’s interesting in the context of how Google is looking to provide more real-time related data into its results. It could make tweets even more important and could help to catch more tweet impressions from certain search types.

Also, it’s a great way for particular Twitter users to achieve the boost they need by putting more emphasis on their approach to the platform.

This is definitely the most important impact from a marketing point of view. If more tweets are visible in more places in Google search, that adds more SEO emphasis on actual tweet activity. So whether your viewers uses Twitter or not, they almost use Google, and this could provide one more reason for establishing a regular tweet timetable, based on what users may find in related searches.
